Have you ever found yourself reaching for food, not because you’re hungry… but because you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or just mentally drained?

You’re not alone.

I’ve been there.

Plenty of times.

But as crappy as stress can be…

👉 What a great opportunity to make a God-honoring choice!

Stress is never going away.

There’s always something to stress about.

👉 So let’s lean into honoring God better in our stress!

“Stress eating” isn’t just about food.

It’s about trying to comfort yourself with something that God didn’t design to be a comfort tool.

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 11:28:

Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Notice…Jesus doesn’t say, “Just distract yourself” or “Numb it with a little sugar.”

He says, “Come to me.”

👉 So in those moments when stress hits…

When your day feels heavy…

When your first instinct is to snack…

👇👇

Pause.

Turn your eyes to Him.

Step away from the trigger.

Change your environment.

Get out of the kitchen.

Go outside.

And create mental space to allow the Great Comforter to rush in.

This won’t be perfect.

You probably won’t win every time.

But just keep trying to honor God in every moment and decision.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says:

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear…

God gives strength to those who earnestly try to honor Him.

He supplies everything you lack - and praise Him for that!

The great news is you don’t have to fight this alone!

If stress eating is something you’ve been battling…

And you’re feeling convicted to do something about it…

👉 I’d love to help you build practical, faith-centered habits that actually last and help you honor God better!

Just grab a time on my calendar here and we’ll talk about what that could look like for you!

I’m always in your corner :)

Michael
