Breaking Weight Loss Plateaus

We all know a calorie deficit is needed to lose weight.
But too often we establish an initial calorie intake goal…
😬 And then don’t change it for weeks and months.
You lose 20 lb. initially…
And then you plateau.
But that’s because...
🔹 You’re eating the same calories at 230 lb. that you were eating at 250 lb.
You weigh less…
So your body is lighter…
It’s easier to move around…
So it doesn’t take as much energy to exist…
Which means you’re burning less calories…
And no longer in a calorie deficit each day.
❌ The issue is not that a calorie deficit doesn’t work.
✅ It’s that you’re no longer in a calorie deficit.
🤔 So…how do you break the plateau?
Every 10ish lb. you lose, reduce your daily intake by 30-50 calories.
Or, walk another 500-1000 steps per day.
Or, a combo of both.
That ensures you STAY in a calorie deficit as your body gets lighter and doesn’t burn as much energy.
